Fact Check Alert: Judge Ibrahim Asghar Resigning from duty in Protest is Baseless

Actual Claim: Video and Tweets circulating on the social media claiming that District and Session Judge Ibrahim Asghar has resigned from duty in Protest. Further, they claimed that he was pressurized to make decisions without merit.

The Claim was coming from the Political party's affiliated accounts by sharing a video of Judge Ibrahim Asghar where he was leaving the office the last of his service in Judiciary.

Fact Checked: The Factual Analysis verified this claim and found out it’s a fake news which is circulating on the social media. Muhammad Ibrahim Asghar became a part of judiciary on 14 may 2004 and it was his last day of the service when he made a video which went viral on social media and this video has nothing to do with his resignation. He spent 20 years in Judiciary with dignity and honor.

Pakistan’s prominent news outlet Roznama Dunya has also reported that 18 august 2025 was the last day of Judge Muhammad Ibrahim Asghar’s service which debunks the claim of resigning in protest.

Senior Court Journalist Saqib Bashir also confirmed that this video has nothing to do this his resignation. Further, he added that it was his last day and he is fond of making Tiktok so on his last day of the service he fulfilled his wish which is wrongly associated with his resignation.
